Our Story

Where Ledgerly began

Ledgerly grew out of a conversation that kept happening: business owners, professionals, and families across Bangkok who understood their industry well but felt uncertain when it came to reading a balance sheet, understanding their tax obligations, or thinking through estate matters. Not because they lacked intelligence — but because no one had ever explained these things to them in plain language.

We opened our doors in the Lumpini district of Pathumwan in 2017. Since then, the work has stayed consistent: carefully designed programs, small group sizes, and a teaching approach that treats every participant as a capable adult who simply needs the right context and vocabulary.

Our programs draw on Thai legal frameworks, the Revenue Department's guidelines, and real SME scenarios from across the country. We do not offer financial advice, and we are deliberate about that boundary. What we offer is understanding — the kind that helps you ask better questions of your accountant, lawyer, or financial planner.

Our Mission

Why this work matters

Thailand's financial and tax landscape is complex enough that even well-educated business owners can feel unsure of their footing. Tax filings, succession laws, VAT registration thresholds, cash flow terminology — these are not obscure topics, but they are often poorly communicated.

Ledgerly's mission is to close that gap. We want participants to leave our programs with a clearer sense of where they stand and what questions they still need answered. That clarity, in our experience, is worth more than any template or quick-fix resource.

How We Work

Standards we hold ourselves to

These are not policies we wrote for a website. They reflect choices we have made about what kind of organisation Ledgerly should be.

Confidentiality

Participants in all programs — especially the Estate & Succession seminar — share personal financial details. We treat that information with strict discretion, always.

Curriculum Accuracy

All program materials are reviewed annually to reflect current Thai Revenue Department guidelines, the Civil and Commercial Code, and any relevant regulatory updates.

Small Groups

We cap cohorts at 12 participants. This is a deliberate choice — not a limitation. It allows for genuine discussion and means questions receive proper attention.

Clear Scope

We are educators, not advisors. We are transparent about this boundary and do not allow our programs to blur into financial advice, tax advice, or legal counsel.

Data Protection

Participant data is stored securely and used only for the purposes set out in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, share, or repurpose your information for marketing purposes.

Post-Program Support

We offer follow-up email support for 30 days after program completion. For the Estate & Succession seminar, a private one-hour follow-up session is included in the program fee.

Our Approach

Financial education shaped around Thailand

Financial knowledge varies enormously across professional backgrounds. An entrepreneur who built a successful restaurant chain may understand margins and supplier relationships with great depth — but feel uncertain when their accountant begins explaining depreciation schedules or withholding tax on service contracts. That gap is not a reflection of capability. It is simply a gap in vocabulary and exposure.

At Ledgerly, our programs are built around the Thai context specifically. We do not adapt international curricula and hope they transfer. We write our own materials, sourced from Thai law, Thai business practice, and the particular situations Thai business owners and families actually face.

This means our Business Financial Literacy program references the Revenue Department's SME tax framework. Our Tax Planning Education covers the nuances of personal income tax bands under the Revenue Code. Our Estate & Succession seminar engages directly with the Civil and Commercial Code and the realities of multi-generational family business succession in Thailand.

The result is a learning experience that feels relevant rather than generic — one that participants can connect to their own documents, their own obligations, and their own decisions, rather than hypothetical case studies from a different legal system entirely.
